Remove Light Cover on Kitchen Accent Lights?

Can anyone tell me how to remove the cover on the accent lights in the kitchen/slide??? See pic for lights!

We have tried twisting/turning/pulling - but nothing happens!

Look for a small slot at the base where you could put a screwdriver in to pry/pop it off.

I'm just guessing here.

I have a Voltage 3200, and if you are talking about the smallish round lights that are almost flush with the surface (sometimes called "puck lights"), then they do just pull straight out, requiring a little force. They have spring loaded fingers that hold the light fixture in, kind of like dry wall fastners. It might help you to go to a Camping World, or RV parts store and look at the same kind of light to see what the back side of the light looks like.

Thank you for that info....we went to look at the light(s) at CW, the parts manager told us that they do not remove and once burnt out you throw them away ! Anyway, a sales clerk looked at my face and after the mgr walked away, we looked at it and sure enough they come apart! However we have pushed, preyed, pulled and cannot get the covers off the lights in the TH......I guess come spring will put more muscle into them!

This was in another forum - "Cup your hands under as if you were holding up the fixture on one side. Gently squeeze and slide outward. It should move about an inch then fall into your hand."

"Or, just behind the clear part of the lens closet to the switch, press up with your thumb. It will take quite a bit of pressure. "

Thanks....but I'm trying to figure out how to take off the lens on our accent lights......

Is that a frame around the lens as seen in your photo? By any chance is the frame removable?

No the frame is not removable.......

Guess any other suggestions will have to wait until spring, as the TH has been put into winter storage about 40-45 minutes away!

I have something like that in my house kitchen. I'll bet the frames pry off.

Can you get new frames and lights? Yes? Then pull the old ones piecemeal if they won't come out whole, and replace the whole dang assembly.


That'll teach those Dutchmen a lesson or two! Snort!

Vern - that would be a total of 12 (I believe) light to replace.

I've sent the manufacturer a email...lets see if I get a response from them!

Got an answer from Gustafson Lighting -

If you have our lights, the lens is very simple to remove. There are little tabs in the light. If you turn the lens just a tiny bit counter clockwise, you will be able to lift the lens off.
