How do I remove window screens?

I'm really puzzled at how to remove the screens from my Denali's windows. Is there a secret to removing them? I hate to use any real force on the frames without understanding the impact of doing so.

My Voltage screens are held in with springs that expand into the frames. You have to pull up and in on the tabs at the bottom. If there are no tabs, you might have to unscrew them.
