Small point. DirecTv does allow splitters, but the splitter that is required is different from what over the air or cable uses, therefore the ones in our coaches will not work.

I like the idea of a completely separate cable run for the DirecTv and believe that is the approach I am going to take.

With those splitters, do you need another receiver or will it just jump the picture to another tv? It must be easier in those big fancy rigs to run wire, my little guy is going to be brutal to try to wire.

Excellent thought on adding a second coax, then you have what you need.
