Couch Air Bed - Voltage 3200

Not to sound like a stupid ? but does anyone know how the air bed in the couch works on the Voltage 3200. I have never used it yet but do the couch cushions go in the storage bay where the air bed is stored in order to create the bed platform? Thanks in advance.

Owners manual only says remove and set aside bottom cushions. Page 98.

The link is from the Dutchmen web site covers 2011 - 2013..

Too much reading!!! Remove the cushions, set them aside and remove the seat backs.

Grab the square bar and pull forward. The bars sit on the floor and make the legs for the bed.

Throw the air mattress on the platform and inflate.

That's the quick version.

Hddecker: wrong manual. That's not a voltage manual different beds.

Sun dancer: my couch has no bars. It has a drawer that pulls out with an air bed in it. Perhaps it is designed to simply drop the mattress on the floor? Doesn't seem to have a platform for the air mattress

My 3200 blow up bed has no bars. it is a blow up bed in a strange shape. We figured it out after a while. Remove the middle sofa cushion and begin the pump to blow up the bed. The foot of the bed will go against the sink cabinet just below the fold out counter top. The head of the bed will fit atop the sofa and the pressure will lock the bed into position as it inflates between the sofa and the cabinet.
Its a strange looking bed that maybe a child can use.

Sorry, I didn't realize that Dutchmen had a specific manual for the Voltage. When I asked the question, I was told that they just had a generic manual that covered their whole product line.

I haven't seen the set up that you are describing. The only system that I have ever seen was the fold out platform, with the air mattress and compressor stored below.

We all got it wrong this time. One thing for sure, Dutchman isn't predictable when it comes to consistancy with these things.

My manual isn't Voltage any model specific. If I remember correctly there are certain parts pertaining to TTs also.

What a difference between a 3200 and a 3800. I really believe they use whatever is on hand and who can supply at the best price. No wonder service is lacking, the techs can't keep up with the changes.

Tomorrow I'll fold mine down and get some pix of it. I won't blow the mattress up though because I know deep in the back of my head I'll never get it back into the bag.

Sundance... The 3200 has a totally different bed set up for the sofa. Its a blow up ugly configuration that took us 30 minutes to figure out.

Yep, difference between models, years and flavors.
