Re: Anti-rocking device
I had a set of those, and the face on them was so smooth that they did little or nothing to help stabilize the trailer.
I've also heard horror stories about newbies who have cranked these into the tires so hard that they have moved the trailer's axles and knocked them out of alignment.....not good trying to get THAT TT home.
There is a good post here on making your own between the tire chocks, and if you do buy a set of those "X" style ones, I hope that they have changed the face of them to have some texture.....badly needed in the design. And, don't crank them down more then that which deflects the face of the tire just a little bit....
For us? I just carry a couple of light weight plastic under the tire chocks..... Kick them in front and back, and done.....lots faster and much lighter. Weight is your enemy when towing.....
