My new Aerolite suspension springs makes a loud popping noise when making tight turns. Any ideas what is causing this and what I should be looking for or is this normal when making sharp turns?
Fairly normal although a bit disconcerting the first time you hear it. On a tandem axle trailer one or two wheels will skid during tight turns. The noise comes from the wheel 'snapping' back into place.
If you tight turn into a parking spot you may notice your tandem wheels do not line up properly. This should be corrected if you are parked for any length of time. If you cannot pull the trailer forward and then back straight (due to space limitations) you should jack up the axle and let the wheel come back into position. This will take the stress off of it.

I had to do this every time we came back from camping and I parked in our driveway. What a pain, but it does the trick...
Dave.
