2000 Dutchmen 1207 SSL Roof leak (popup)

I am new here, 1st post, so I hope this is the right area. If not let me know and I will re-post in the correct area.

I have read that Dutchmen (now Keystone), has a lifetime warranty on their roofs. Is this true? Mine is rotted from rain leaking through the caulk and it is dangerous to put up I believe.

Thank you.

I've never heard of a lifetime roof warranty, especially if it's leaking through caulk joints. That's general maintenance that falls on the owner, they will never cover that.

Never heard of a lifetime warranty. Just and FYI, most warranties are written to protect the manufacturer NOT the consumer. The roof material typically has a 10-12 year warranty. However you do have to inspect and perform maintenance every 6 months. Sealants are typically NOT included in the warranty, they are considered a service item. Best bet is to repair it and move on.

Since you are talking about a 2000 model, it might be worthwhile to just exchange it
or try to anyway, for a newer model. Roof repairs are very expensive unless you know how to do it yourself and have the room to work. Just my opinion.
