Roof vent covers and other mods

We are purchasing a 2015 Aerolite 315BHSS and having it built from the mfr. We are newbies and not sure what the benefits (if any) are for the following mods:

-Roof Vent Cover: RVWholesalers.com.

-Fan Mate Vent Cover: RVWholesalers.com.

-RainKap: RVWholesalers.com.

I don't think we need the RainKap as our RV is dark grey and won't show the black streaks as much as other lighter colored units. So far, we have chosen the following options: slideout topper, 15k BTU AC vs. 13.5k, and the 12V Dry Cell EV/Deep cycle sealed battery.

Standing by for any suggestions or comments, thanks!

As for the roof vent covers, I bought these..
Amazon.com: Maxxair 00-933073 MaxxAir II Smoke Vent Cover: Automotive
I paid $55 each, and they take 15 minutes to install. They are nice to have, you don't have to worry about the rain and you can travel with the vents open without worrying about any damage. So I would recommend these.

My power vent has a rain sensor, so I didn't bother with putting a cover over that.

I have no experience with the rainkap.

I would live in it for a weekend first before you buy the vent covers. I have a smoke black one on my bathroom vent (really bright room) but I put a translucent white on my bedroom vent because that room was too dark to begin with.

I installed a skylight near my microwave to brighten up the body of the rig. Again, I thought it was too dark. I was always flicking on lights during the day

Maxxair II is what I purchased

All 3 of my vents are powered, with the one in the bathroom having a rain-sensor built it.

I put covers on the 2 without the sensor, figuring the one with it didn't need one. Well, that worked fine until I found myself in a place where it rained for 3 days straight, and I couldn't get the bathroom vent to open when I took a shower because the sensor was wet.

So now I have covers over all 3 vents, and everything works great.

Since all of my vents are made by Fan-Tastic Vent, I went with their UltraBreeze covers with the bug guards:

One of the first things added to our TH was vent covers......learned the hard way many years ago to use them. DGS (grandson) was camping with us up in Canada - looked like rain - told him to close the vent above his bed - toured the area most of the day and no rain - got back to the campsite and his bed was soaking wet!!!! Yup he "forgot" !!!

We had the dealer install MaxAirII on the three vents in our TH before we picked it up!

You could turn off the rain sensor on my old FF, or manually crank it open.
First thing I'm doing vent wise is putting a FF in the bathroom, best fans on the market, imo.

If you are used to the old FF from a few years back be aware that the company was sold and the new products are not the same. They have been having a run of issues here lately.

I like FF and also like the MaxxFan Deluxe which has a built in rain cover. I am going with the it on my Coleman for the bathroom.

The rainkap thing is good. Give it awhile and see how the black streaks look on your finish. If you can climb a ladder you might save yourself 100's of duckies if you purchase and install yourself.

I've seen the price for a 48 foot run of rainkap range from 125 to 65 dollars.

Dealer's fat enough, save yourself some bucks!!!

That's disappointing. I bet you could find a new old stock one on ebay. Mine did have the square remote, I noticed the new ones had an oval shaped one.
