Remove AC Ceiling Assembly

I was trying to look into why I have bad air flow out of some of the vents in my TT. I found a place that looks like there are a ton of wires and a piece of foam in the ducts (pics attached). I would like to check this area out, but I think I have to take the ceiling assembly off. Would that cause the AC to separate from the roof any? I do not want to go messing things up to get a little better performance. Anyone have instructions? I have a Dometic Brisk Air II 15k BTU with a Quick Cool Ceiling Assembly.

I have the same AC unit as you. And I am fortunate that the unit powers through this Texas heat and keeps the little TT chilled. But I have no confidence that it is because the factory did a fantastic job of avoiding silly air-flow obstacles in the ducting.

Someday, when I am past my new-ownership glee, I am going to inspect all my ductwork and make any\all modifications necessary.

Assuming it was a good install, the A/C is being supported by the roof trusses. You may have to sacrifice the ceiling material to gain access.

On the AC's I've installed there are four long lag bolts that screw up through the ceiling assembly in each corner into the upper unit and tighten down a foam compression seal. If you remove the ceiling unit carefully this compression seal should be stuck to the roof membrane and hold the upper unit in place. The roof material was probably cut out in an X pattern and the corners stapled down to the roof trusses and may be in the way but it wouldn't hurt to trim it back.

On my Voltage the main AC screws down from the top, but I believe the garage and bedroom AC's have the lag bolts from underneath.
