If the tanks run out of propane, will the furnace continue to try and light itself? It's supposed to get in the 20's here and we're going away for the weekend. I have a small space heater in there, but was thinking of setting the furnace to 45f, just in case. I despise these winter returns after de-winterizing.

It will, not sure how long before it gives up. Maybe check the manual and see if it has any information, or call the manufacturer. Can you leave a small electric heater going instead? I just went and turned my electric heater back on. I haven't de-winterized...yet. I was going camping last weekend, but work got in the way Now we are scheduled for next weekend.

Yes... it'll stay on and try re-lighting itself at least 3 or 4 times. At some point, it will give up and turn itself off. At least, that was my experience last winter.

Ok, thanks. I think I will just hope the electric space heater doesn't croak or burn the camper down. It was a nice toasty 60f with the space heater set to it's lowest setting. We are only going away for one day now, so it should be good.
