Winterize

We are first time campers and will be winterizing our camper (Minnesota) this weekend. Any links or important must dos? Also, should we blow out the lines or use Antifreeze? The camper will be stored outdoors. Thanks!

i usually blow out the lines AND use antifreeze. There was a recent thread concerning winterization. I'll see if I can find it.

If you do it right air is really all you need, but if you miss something like forgetting to blow out the hand sprayer port you'll have a nice leak in the spring, ask me how I know...

If it's easy to get to the water pump I would antifreeze it, it's not that expensive.

I only do air on mine because my water pump is buried, and now i'm a pro at it.

I removed that thin plywood partition under the sink that served as a barrier to the pump and water heater. Yea, it's less tidy looking now when I open the cabinet door, but I have LOTS of additional space for storing trash bags and a 6-pack of paper towels.

However, I didn't do any of this for winterizing. Don't have a clue what winter is.
Our winter is when you can finally go outside.

I may have to do that, don't really ever use the water pump. Does it have a antifreeze hookup on it? Or at least a bypass?

I've never used my pump either. I have tested if it works though!
Dumped a bit of water in the fresh water tank, turned on the switch in the control panel, and unhooked the city hookup.

Worked like a charm. And made FAR less noise than the pump in my Wolf Pup Toy Hauler. (It sounds like its laid flat on a hot tin roof) I might have to mount it properly someday.

Mine does have a bypass valve under the oven. I took the panel off and reattached with velcro. Now I can access it whenever I need.

I put hinges and a latch on mine so I can open it up like a cabinet door!
