Water Heater Flame

This past weekend I opened my seasonal trailer.
It has a 10 gallon Suburban Hot water Tank. After flushing out the water system, I lite the tank. It ignited quickly, but my flame is very yellow, and I am getting alot of soot. My propane tanks are fairly full, the main regulator must be ok, because the furnace runs perfect. Im thinking maybe spiders or spider cocoons in the gas orifice. I dont have the tool to to clean out the orifice, so Im thinking about taking off the burner assembly and trying to blow it out with my compressor.
Any ideas about this?

You are on the right track. Blow out orifice and burner tube. Blue flame is a clean flame. Orange is dirty flame.

Often there is an adjustable tube before the burner for flame adjustment, it regulates how much air gets to the burner. Remove the screw, slide the tube and look for debris inside . Last year I found a stink bug had crawled inside. My flame was yellow and making spitting noises. Remove any debris, light the burner and adjust the tube for a nice blue flame and reinstall the screw. Be careful, it may get hot.
