tank level indicators (yes - again)

So.....I KNOW that the factory tank level indicators are often just garbage. I would hope that the fresh and grey water tanks would be mostly accurate, but I can certainly understand all that could go wrong with the black tank.

That said, I thought most of the time the black tank would show MORE FULL on the panel than it really is. I am having the OPPOSITE problem. I can CLEARLY see that the black tank is 100% full (and then some), but the tank indicator shows only 1/2 full or something.

Is that a common issue to have the panel show LESS full than it really is? I would think the opposite. Hmm...

The top sensor, or more likely, the thin wire going to it is broken. No "High/Full" signal available. Check wires where you can.

I had that problem on my last rv. I replaced the sensors with horst miracle probes and never had a problem again. So far no issues on my new rig. I think camco or someone bought out horst.
