how does one stop the spray valve from leaking when the water is hooked up, I hooked the city water up and water comes pouring out of the spray valve.

Spray valve as in the outside shower connection? If so, try tightening the valve or give the connection a shot of WD20 in case the balls are stuck.

If by spray valve you mean outside shower, there is a chance it may have frozen and cracked. Happens all the time. I have replaced my fair share of them. Another thing I have found to look out for are the low point drains, if they have plugs that thread in, LEAVE THEM OUT or you will run the risk of having them crack if any water didn't make it out of the system when you winterized.

My spray port just started leaking also. I had a few days of freezing weather and it froze. I check on the web to find some answers but was not successful. I ordered a new port on amazon and plan on putting an in-line valve so I can drain the water from it when not in use. I full time in this thing and need my water. I did go and buy the hose and spayer thinking I could exercise the washer but that did not work didn't think about WD-40 there Sundancer I will have to give that a try before I replace the new port.
