Pushing the season

We dewinterized and filled the tanks this week. Two nights out at the State Park and trailer is now back on its home pad ready for use. Did setup a space heater last night and open the Galley and Bathroom cabinets to allow a little heat, if things approached freezing. Long range (10 day forecast) has the temp above 32 degrees every night. Yes, the season is upon us in Southern Illinois.

Re: Pushing the season

Hmmmmmm, can't wait to get our trailer out! It's still sitting 3 hours away in a snow bank on the dealer lot . We are at least 2 months away from dewinterizing. Typically trailers in most parts of Canada will be readied for the long weekend at the end of May.

Cheers
Daryl B.

Re: Pushing the season

I am saying my prayers for some nice weather the first week of April. We have an appointment on the 1st to pick it up and the 2nd to get it dewinterized.....then we are taking off for 3 months on the road!

"3 months on the road"

Wow! That sounds great, do you have plans or are you just headin out?

You might think of the first couple of days just close to the dealer in a State Park or other Campground. Get your feet wet before jumpin in up to your armpits. It takes time ot test and truly check all the systems.

That is exactly what we are going to do in a park close to us for at least three or four days. Then come back home, and hopefully head out from there.
This is our third TT, and we most certainly know that even new ones are not trouble free!
As far as the trip, we are going to head east on I90 all the way to the east coast, then decide whether to turn right and go to the Smithsonian for a week or so, or turn left and go up into Canada, and come back west up there.

Re: Pushing the season

My date to dewinterize is usually mid April and then we're off to the state park the end of April.
