Pump access

I have a Dutchmen razorback...I found the pump but it is behind the entire breaker panel/box. In order to access it I had to pull out the entire box? Does that seem right? Makes winterizing pretty difficult not to mention the possibility of loosening or damaging a wire. I can't reach it from the access panel on the left of picture. There is no way to get my arm past the wires/plumbing.

Re: Pump access

For the RV industry, that does not surprise me.
If it were me, I'd try to relocate the pump and fitting to a place that is more accessible.

Our water pump is behind a panel, under a bank of kitchen drawers!

Speaking of pumps and water systems, has anyone put in a pressure tank. Justy a small 1gl. tank so the pump doesn't cycle so much. We had one in our Outback and it worked great. I just can't seem to find anywhere to put one in my Komfort3050.

The pressure tank sounds like a good Idea.... I know they have a 1 or 2 gal one, used for well systems, at Home Depot and Lowe's...I think that will be my next project, Thanks...

This will be my next project for sure ( Accumulator tank) you can buy them from rv dealers as well however I like going to a big box store I think it may be cheaper. Lots of good install instruction stuff on line, if I can find my stuff will post.

Going to try to find out what the pressure setting should be on the tank..I think they come with about 30 pounds...But can be set to whatever...I know the RV systems use a City water regulator to lower pressure, just not sure what the pressure is, don't want to be blowing fitting around the camper...LOL

Use the pressure settings on your pump to set the pressure on your tank.
You sure wouldn't want to increase the pressure when using the facilities or you may have
a " Royal Flush"🚻🚽

Mine is under the Dinette seat near the Fridge, plenty of room to work on it.. I put a piece of Foam rubber from an old kitchen rug under the pump, Can't hardly hear it running now..
