Need to install new water heater.

I have a 2009 Denali 28lbbs-m5. I bought it without the water heater. No problem there except I am not certain what water heater to install. By dimensions it appears to be a 10 gallon unit. Can I install a Suburban SW10DE? It appears to be the right unit by size and matches the brochure description. Only want to order it once.

Maybe you could find the installation brochure on line and check clearances. There might be some need to have extra dead space for venting or heat dissipation around it. Just fitting it into the hole might not be the only requirement for safety. But other than that I would say if it fits.......

Welcome to our little campfire.

I wonder if it was upgraded? The opening is 16" square and the 6 gallon opening is 12". That is part of my dithering ordering a new heater.

is the depth a concern? have you looked up the device you want to use to get a cutout template and installation instructions? If the dimensions fit, go for it! Why would it come without a hot water heater?

That's my question too. No water heater? Buy it used and the previous owner removed to replace and never got around to it maybe?

Have you considered replacing it with a tankless water heater?
