Low water flow in the kitchen??

I haven't been overly impressed with the water quantity at the kitchen sink in my 3800.

I did all the normal stuff but the flow always seemd to be somewhat weak.

I was chasing a water leak today and noticed the stand pipes supplying water to the sink had been terminated too tall, thereby causing a kink in the hoses going to the mixing valve of the faucet.

I shortened and relocated the stand pipes, squeezed the kink out of the hose and gave the hoses a more natural curvature and now I have a pretty darned good water flow in the kitchen.

Check them kinks in your plumbing scheme!!!!

I have not been impressed with the flow either so I will check it. I do allot of dry camping so it is not necessarily a issue. But if I have a kinked hose I would like to make it right.

I use one of those pressure reduction fittings and find I have better water pressure when operating off of my 12 volt pump.

I don't trust the trailers plumbing not to use the pressure reducer.

I may have to replace my kitchen faucet as water is starting to leak out on the counter top from the faucet valve handle.

I spent the first week with our new 3950 cleaning out the the little screen mesh in each of the faucets. We had some kind of sandy grit in the water lines and it kept stopping up the faucets. It's a real pain to clean the grit out of all the faucets.

How did you access this area? I have the same issue on my 3200.

Look at the supply tubing under the sink. You may have to remove the drawers, on the front side if you have them, for more access.

Thanks!. I got the drawers out and traced the tubing all the way under the refrigerator. No kinks any where. I also cleaned that screen at the end of the faucet (where water comes out). No pressure.

Has anyone had trouble with the valve itself? The reason I ask is because the pressure is the same whether it's cold or hot, there is no change in flow regardless of water.

Some members have created more water flow by removing the water restricting discs inside the hose. That certainly helps with all the other faucet sets. There is one disc in the handle that I left in because I felt it needed to be there for what some of us think is a anti-siphon thing.

I opted for a zip tie to keep the "shower head" function pressed all the time, then the faucet is useful. I'll change out the faucet and install shut off valves when I'm home.
