Hot water problems

I have a 2002 Dutchman light purchased used Atwood hot water heater will not light any suggestions I changed the thermal coupling and thermostat pilot light will light but goes of when I move dail to on

look and see if there are any obstructions. Dirt Dobbers get deep into the throat of the burner and that makes it do what you are describing.
