Fresh water Tank filling up when connected to the City water

Hello,

I have a Dutchmen 2012 Kodiak 200QB and my fresh water tank was filled completely and then some by my connection to city water. Someone suggested that it could be the water pump. Can anyone tell me where it is and how easy it is to replace?

I looked under the kitchmen and bathroom sink as well where the fridge is. I am also looking for diagrams of where mechnical stuff is in the trailer. The manual isn't the greatest.

Thanks,
Justine

My water pump is under the kitchen sink. Take out a couple lower drawers in your kitchen so that you can have a look behind them, most of the mechanicals for water will be back there I'm guessing. It will be in the vicinity near where your street water connection and your fresh water fill pipe is located.

The water pump probably has a check valve in it which allows water to flow in only one direction. Your check valve may be faulty or perhaps the pump was installed backwards. Does it work OK when you have water in the fresh water tank? If it does then the check valve is the culprit.
