Fresh water drain

Went out for the first trip of the season Thursday. Even though we were not dry camping, I always put about 50 gallons of water in the tank as this time of year, it is not uncommon for this camp ground to lose power. Pulled into our site and had a fairly major water leak. Good thing we weren't dry camping. The drain for the fresh water tank was hanging by the spray foam! When I removed it, it looked as though it had never been cemented in at the factory. We dry camp in a week and a half at the Michigan International Speedway so will be cementing it in place tonight and testing. Funny thing is that this is the third season we have had our Voltage and dry camp several times per season and it never leaked before.

Also, while I have it out I am replacing the four bolts that hold the valve together with stainless hardware as there are rusted pretty badly. Will get pics tonight.

Is any one else's water tank feel loose inside the belly?

Good to know, I will need to check much closer...draining mine next week, as we are taking in for a slide fix and they requested that fresh/grey/black tanks all be emptied.

In my haste to get it fixed, I did not take any pictures with the valve out. However, there is a threaded fitting going into the tank if one ever needs to replace it. Here are pics with the valve cemented back in place. Further looking leads me to believe that the Cloroplast buffeting in the wind going down the road contributed to failure as did the fact that appeared to be no cement on the original fittings and the tank is somewhat loose in there...yay Dutchmen!

Had it not been for the black landscape sprayfoam around the pipe, I am sure I would have arrived with no valve there to be able to replace...
