My Aspen Trail TT (1700BH) came back from a trip (someone was borrowing it) and the toilet (Dometic 300) no longer pumps water into the bowl when you push the pedal down slightly.
I unhooked the water supply line and there was water in the line. When I reconnected it and turned the water pump back on I heard the pump kick on and refill the line.
What I found odd is that sometimes the pedal will stick and the valve will stay open instead of closing when you release.
I've read there is a screen that can get clogged so I'm going to check that out. Anything else I should check? I ordered a spare water valve off Amazon ($15) in case the filter screen isn't the issue.
All odd because it had only been used 3 nights prior and it's brand new.
Thanks for any input anyone can provide. Trying to get it ready for a trip this upcoming weekend.
Figured it out. The tip of the water valve broke so it wasn't engaging and the broken piece wasn't allowing the pedal to work smoothly. Next step will be finding out if I can get upgraded from that model to a newer one. I've heard there is a silent recall on the Dometic 300 but can't find any solid details on it other than people have contacted Dometic and gotten a replacement model.
Get the serial number off the toilet and call Dometic. This series of toilet is subject to a free replacement due to a faulty seal between the bowl and base that will create a stink you can't get rid of. You may get a free toilet.
