They can, but as you say... it’ll cost more, as they’ll have to fish wiring from the outside wet-bay to the inside control panel.

I have all 4 of my electric switches in the wet bay... and aside from one switch going bad within weeks after they were installed (factory defective, replaced under warranty), I’ve had no trouble with mine for 2 years now.

(Yes, I said 4 switches... I replaced ALL of mine: black tank, both grey tanks, AND the fresh water tank dump valves.)

you have a fresh water dump valve!!! mine is this little thing that sticks down above one of the axles and takes HOURS to drain. I just leave it open when I travel.
