Bypass on 2017 RESL

Just picked up my Kodiak 291RESL RV purchased at the Hershey show. Went to winterize it and found only one valve. The valve is on the cold supply side of the hw heater and has a third leg connecting to a T on the hot side of the hw heater. Issue to me is there is no valve on the hot side T like I'd normally see on a bypass situation and make the loop from cold to hot supply.

I was told there was bypass but what's preventing the pink stuff from backflowing to the hw supply side of the heater? Is there some sort of check valve I'm not familiar with?

TIA. Glad I joined.

Not sure but I have the same bypass set up as you do. Just winterized and had no problems. I have three way valve on water pump and only used one gallon. If you get any pink stuff in water heater thats ok. Just flush it out when you dewinterize.
