Yanked Pigtail Out From PinBox...Feel Stupid

Hi everyone. New here and this is our first RV. I was unhooking from our 2014 Denali 244RLX, disconnected the pigtail from the truck but for some reason I just laid it in the bed instead of clearing it out. When I pulled out from under the trailer, the pigtail got caught under one of the hitches support bars and ripped the cord out from the pinbox connection junction. So stupid of me.

There are some wires that are pretty evident as to where they go but a few others I'm not sure.

Pretty sure green to green, brown to brown and the red of the pigtail to the short broken red in the junction box. But not sure about the blue of the pigtail, or the fat red in the box, which black in the box goes to pigtail black, why is there a short yellow in the pigtail that looks unused and so on and so on.

I would like to tackle this myself with some guidance from you fine folks instead of taking it to a repair shop. I've tried some Google searches but I guess there is no standard to these wiring setups on trailers and can be very much manufacturer specific.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the blue goes to blue ( brakes) and the the yellow is aux. ( backup lights etc,). I believe the white is ground. That is about all I think I know at this time. Check with me tomorrow.

Hi Old Goat and thanks for the reply. There is no blue in the junction box...unless you're seeing something in the photo that I'm missing.

Well hell, maybe that's why I'm having these issues!

Here is a link that may help.

It's been awhile since I installed a proper waterproof junction block, and the blue (brake wire) was a really dark blue. I had to snip a piece to look at and compare to the wire at the axle, it's closer to black than blue.

It should be a two conductor wire, I think it's 16 ga wire.

Forgot about the "fat" red wire, it is most likely going to coach batteries. On our TT the electrical box had everything in it, running lights and the 12V from the battery to the circuit breakers, to the 12V fuse panel in camper.

RJ, I did the same thing on our last trip, just take your time and slowly put it back together, Mind also knocked out a few fuses…..I had to replace the fuse for the right tail and brake lights, so if you got everything back together and the lights, still don't work, check the fuses….
