Wireless Digital Levels

Yet another question from the newbie here, this time regarding leveling systems for the trailer.

In the past I've always put two little levels on the fridge and being the tent trailer was only a 10' one... quick and simple to level out the four corners. With the new 29' trailer... wow... a bit more time consuming compared to previously.

This got me thinking, I've seen the RV LVL-1 Wireless Digital Level (http://jtrv.com/product_level.html) a few places on the net and thought it might be a great idea, level the trailer as best possible while attached to the truck while setting up, only a few little adjustments here and there after all is set in place.

Has anyone used these wireless digital levels or something similar and if so, how well do they work or is there other options?

Looks cool, and expensive! While I haven't tried it yet, I think I'm going to be using a bubble level app on my smartphone do to the same thing. It provides audio cue when things are level.

Re: Wireless Digital Levels

When we purchased our Dutchmen, the dealership installed a set of small bubble levels on the left (driver's side) front and side of the trailer. On our old trailer, I had installed four little trailer levels on all corners, these two the dealer installed worked better than the four I installed. I have added one level on the back center of the rear bumper. Those three levels have made this very simple and easy to find if you are in a level spot or if you have to raise the trailer one side or the other. Just camped in a State Park this week and was able to find the crown and level part of the campsite by just moving the trailer a foot to the side of where we originally pulled in. Only concern was leveling awthawarship, because leveling fore to aft was purely a matter of using the tongue jack after disconnecting from the towing vehicle. No electronics required, except for electric tongue jack. Yeah, I'm getting lazier. ;-)

Re: Wireless Digital Levels

Wow, that looks cool. The nice thing is that you can read the level from the cab of your tow vehicle, and move the trailer forward or back to a more level position side to side before unhooking!
Anyone know how much this bad boy is?

Re: Wireless Digital Levels

I don't know about the one in the OP's post but I found one at Walmart that has a reasonable price, has positive on/off switches and is a remote handheld unit. It's called the "RV Leveler by CIPA" I haven't had time to go and play with it at wally world but I will in the next few weeks. Here is a link to the product and manu. http://www.cipausa.com/rvLeveler.htm

Cheers

Do you know the name of that app? My wife just downloaded one but it didn't have audible cue.
