Wanna know what's behind your basement walls?

I changed my water pump today for one with more delivery. Of course I had to remove the basement walls to find it. Here's what is hidden behind those walls.

I used the leaf blower to remove 2 pounds of leftover sawdust.

I have been behind the walls in a few places on mine. It is always ugly behind the walls.

I am building an aluminum shelf enclosure for all my electrical components (transfer switch, converter, surge protector, central vacuum) that will separate them from the plumbing, and allow me to clean up all that rats nest of wire under there. I have already rerouted some of the water lines to prevent them from kinking. Next is going to be under the frame when I am going to install a central point brake wiring, and some extra insulation. II agree that they could at least clean up their mess before closing the panels!

Thanks for posting the pictures of yours.

I opened up my basement panels expecting to find a mess but was pleasantly surprised. Everything was for the most part orderly, no hoses kinked, and only a small amount of sawdust and two loose 2x2 blocks of wood. I guess what's behind the walls really doesn't bother me because with all that these homes on wheels come with, there's bound to be a mess of wires hidden somewhere. If you look behind the entertainment center of my sticks and bricks home you'll find an even bigger mess of wires.

Have you opened up the walls in a house?
