unknown switch

I had recently purchased a 2007 18b lite Dutchmen. There are two switches on the wall, right of the stove top, left of sink, that has a lightning bolt next to one switch and a flame next to the other. there is a red light between the two (that does not light up). Could someone please tell me what this does.

sounds like the hot water heater??? lightening means it is on electric and flame would indicate propane!

so im guessing that the reason the light does not come on is because there is no water in the tank?

No, it would light even without water in the tank.

This something that you do not want to do, you could cause permanent damage.

The light would only come on when you are hooked up to shore power.

Right there I go assuming again. I assumed that you were hooked up to shore power.

Also assumed that you have a DSI hot water tank. If that is the case when you flip the switch with the flame, the light should come on, but go off once the burner lights and the thermo coupler is satisfied.

If you are not getting the light coming on with the the flame switch check the ground.

If you didn't get a users manual check the manufactures web site and see if they have copy on line, also there are some on the Dutchmen web site under the customer service tab.
