Two 6 volt batteries

I've decided to scrap the 12 volt battery and go the two 6 volt route. Is there anything I needed to do to my trailer to make this happen? I've got a 2014 Kodiak 291 RESL.

As long as you have the room to mount them nothing else special to do. Just connect them + to - terminal. Then normal red + cable in trailer connects to + terminal on one battery & - on other battery.

Thanks.
Does it really make a huge difference when dry camping. I'm planning a trip this summer that will have me on several overnights with no shore power. I've already changed all interior lights to LED's.

Just bought a new Interstate 12 volt marine type 24 last night. Price was $114 with core charge.

Almost twice the cost to go two 6 volt over one 12 volt up here in the great white north.
