Slide Troubles!

When we were packing up to come home from camping my husband went to but our Schwintek slide in and it started to go then quit. We got the manual out and it says to locate the dual motor slide control panel, well we can not find it anyplace. Has anyone had to locate this and any idea where it would be in a 2013 Coleman 297re? We had to enable both motors on the slide and push it in to get it home.

Hi, was researching a slide issue and noticed you never got a reply. Sorry, I cannot help, being a rookie. And I am sure that problem is long gone. Did you mean to say that there is a way to disable the motor(s) and manually push the slide in???

Did you find your controller yet? I can think of 2 places - the first would be the ceiling if the pass through compartment and the second would be under the sink. Sometimes they would add panel to access the board. When you find it press the small button next to the led lights on the board 6 times and on the 7th hold the button until both red and green leds flash back and forth. Run the room all the way out and all the way in hold the button for a 3 count once it is closed. Now wait for the lights to quit flashing and you have just done a full rest to the board. Sometimes the hall effect will get "confused" with low voltage and such so you may have to a hard reset on the board.

Lippert builds the Schwintek system. They no longer refer to it as Schwintek, they call it in-wall now. There is more info on their website www.lci1.com if you need help falling asleep after lunch today.

According to my manual for the Lippert manual override, disconnect your batteries. You will have one of 2 types of overrides and more than likely both. One resembles the override for the landing gear, locate the hole or pin on your frame and start cranking. The other is a hex head bolt with a pin through it located at the motors. Remove the pin and use a 3/4" socket/ratchet. No need to disconnect the motors. Here is our video.

Apparently you have not figured out exactly which slide out you have. One thing we learned is that customer service at Dutchmen is not the most well informed and documentation on the RV'S is seriously lacking. The best way to find out your system is to take a picture of the mechanism and post it here. Lippert's website has loads of information and there is more than enough videos on youtube that will be of immense help (as well as the collective minds here at this site).

A picture of the endwall will show if it has cables or in-wall racks. A picture underneath will show if it is a through frame.

I've attempted to reply to this twice now, here goes a 3rd. Lippert has a couple types of manual overrides, don't be surprised if you have both styles. One is in frame where you use the same crank as you do for your landing gear. The other will use a ratchet on a hex head at the motor. For both, disconnect your batteries, you do not have to disconnect the motor. There are youtube videos for nearly every Lippert system on your camper.

Let's start over, if I am reading correctly you are wanting to adjust the bottom corner in a little. The Cable system is a give and take. If you want to adjust the bottom corner run the side about half way in or out and tighten up the "in bottom" and loosen the out bottom. That will move the whole corner in with out ripping a cable block off the wall. Like I said it is a give and take.

It's the same slide I have that gave me so much trouble. the other issue I had was the motor came loose. Don't lube anything.

Actually both sides on the bottom are out a bit over an inch .
