Radio Antennae?

I own a 2013 Denali 246RK where the radio is useless. No reception. The antennae on the back of the unit is plugged into the harness, but where IS the antennae? Nothing on the roof.... Should I install an antennae on the roof?

Mine is a coaxial cable and it is connected in the TV antenna. You could try having the antenna amplifier on and see if that helps.

Try turning putting the television antenna up, and turning the booster on (little button on the plate where the coax for the television goes) a green LED will let you know it is on. If that doesn't work, then they forgot to hook it up at the factory.

You could add a side mount antenna if you wanted, something like this.

mine in my Voltage is the same.. poor reception however, upon further investigation it is connected to the TV antenna as reported above. Turn on the Amp and raise the TV antenna and Viola it worked fine. The only problem is the cable hook up if used at the RV park will not work with the Amp turned on. So you have to pick on or the other and both cannot work at the same time. Kind of a poor set up.. i had thought of running and external antenna outside many times for the reason both cannot run at once optimally.

This one is the one I am after. Going to mount it on the back near the radio and just run the cable through. I think this one is the one I have seen on other RV's and with 3 screws, it should seal very well.
