110 AC power

If you want to dry camp and still have AC power, invest in a small portable generator. You can now get a really good 2000 watt from Harbor Freight, or a Champion from either Home Depot or Lowes for about $500. You don't need to get an expensive Honda any more, these are rated just as good. By doing this you don't need to make any mods to your unit.

Jump up to a 3500 KW, not that much more, if you have to have AIR, but, I said "Dry Camping".

That should START a 13,500 BTU AC if you have NOTHING else running. I have a 3000 and it won't start mine.
