It's more complicated than that. there are FOUR cables, two for the bottom and two for the top. You should bring it to the dealer and insist they fix it. There is another thread here concerning slideouts. I have the same one (with the cables) and it spent months in the shop. (slide was jerking in and out). I'll see if I can find that thread but there are several of them.

here's one but this guy does it EVERY DAY but it gives you an idea of what is involved with the accu-slide.

Sundancer 87- holding the button is something that you do for an in-wall otherwise known as Schwintek. The pictures posted are of a Norco Slide. I have 3 Schwintek slides and that is what I have to do with mine.
