Micro-Air Easy Start 364

Made the leap and bought three Easy Start 364's. Install was very easy and took about 2 hours to do all three. They DO make a difference in start up amperage. The main AC without it would surge as high as 41A. Now I see between 19 and 21A. The front and rear ACs run at 11-12A constant. Since I installed the 7500QD generator, I am considering disconnecting the LMS due to it shedding loads at 44A. I have a 67A generator, so I can be my own LMS.

Simple install - 4 wires. The box CAN be mounted anywhere under the plastic cover as confirmed by Roger at Micro-Air. The install videos tell you otherwise. He confirmed they will be fine in the weather under the cover as long as the plug is pointed down.

How does this differ from a hard start capacitor? I bought one to try and solve my AC breaker tripping issues but I haven't installed it yet.

They explain much better than I can in their videos and write-ups. But I removed my SUPCO hard start capacitors to install these - never had any issues with the SUPCO's but these lowered the start up amperage considerably. They describe these as a "soft-start option". I opened one of them up and there is a capacitor in there, but the ramp up is controlled by a circuit board and also controls restarts by waiting for pressures to equalize. Very happy with them thus far based on the numbers I saw on the ammeter.

Discount

Also, if anyone decides to drop the coin, Roger shared with me to use coupon code "AIRSTREAM" and it removed $40 from each unit I ordered.
