Installed LED Taillights

Just installed new LED taillights in my 5er. They fit right in to the existing rubber grommets that hold them in. Also, plugged right in to the existing wiring pigtails. Couple minutes and no tools .

I see a thread on another manufacturers forum that had replaced the old single taillight units to LED taillight units.

We came home from camping in a driving rain and fog on Labor Day. I noticed that we could see the taillights of semi-tractor trailers with LED's better then the ones without.

Nice. It's on my list. Found all the marker lights but haven't found anything I like for the tails yet.

I replaced mine when I had another Brand and they were easy as you described. They are a great diction.

Yup. Replaced mine with LED's too. Easy job and much more visible. What prompted me to do it was that I had a loose connection in one of the original pigtails. The new LED's came with everything I needed, including the connections/plugs.

I wish Bargman made a direct replacement for the surface mount tail lights on my trailer. I have series 92 cheapies that I`ve been trying to source a pair that will either use the existing screw hole or at least cover them. If anyone has had success replacing these, please chime in.

Cheers

Congrats. I had been watching that thread with interest over quite a while. My 3640RL doesn't seem to have the same problem, but then again with 2 AC units and given the relatively low temperatures we 'camp' in, I wouldn't expect to have trouble. Nevertheless, I now know what to do if I find we are not getting sufficient cooling. Thanks.
