Brandon you were spot with your advice. Yes 6x's and on the 7th hold button until red led blinks continuously. As it turns out if I knew where the controller was I could have easily done it on the road. Now I do and I hope photo of my controller location can help someone else. Thanks again !!!' Bill

That is where mine is located now. Before it was about two feet south hidden behind the basement wall behind the wet bay.

Glad you got is figured out and that things weren't as bad as you may have thought.

Bill, I'm so glad you were able to get it going. This schwintek system can be a bugger. Happy trails my friend.

Know that schwintek is like a woman. So I have been keeping her lubed regularly and pay a lot of attention to her. Have always used shore or generator power when using and have been very conscious of being level. Appreciate help from everyone and now as a result of this issue I can pass along yet another rv experience. Yes I am so relieved that it's not a wreck!! THANKS!!!!

Mike as far I can tell it is like rebooting alignment system. My slide was in the in position and the tech told me to do reset by following instructions on the controller. Push button 6 times and on the 7th time hold it in until display blinks continuously. After reset I activate slide switch to move slide out. It worked perfectly. When I was traveling I watched a video to reset motor synch in which you extend slide out then bring the slide in 8 to 10 inches repeat that 3 times. By the completion of the 3rd cycle the slide stalled in the bad side. I ended pushing on it while my wife activated switch. Given what I saw and felt while pushing I thought I had a bad situation. The tech I spoke said that procedure often doesn't work and he was right. After resetting controller I operated slide in and out and it worked. I really don't understand all I know but resetting the controller made my day. The hardest part was finding the controller. The tech emphasized leveling rv and making sure jacks are down as well. On my recent trip we spent one night in summer lake Oregon and I left rv hooked to pickup, leveled rv but did no deploy jacks maybe that was the trigger point. I feel so much better after being able to resolve issue and to how easy it is to reset controller. I would never try the in and out procedure again. Bill

And read your post that is above Mikes post. "Know that schwintek is like a woman. So I have been keeping her lubed regularly and pay a lot of attention to her."

As far as I know you are never sposed to stop the slide before it is all the way in or out.

True although the lippert video shows re synching by extending fully and bringing back in 8 to 10 inches and fully extend and repeat 3 times. Would never try that again when it is so easy to just reset controller.

Help! On the road slide issue

No error codes. I was expecting but no. Once controller reset was completed it worked perfectly. And I can tell you before reset it was screwed up. Perhaps might not be a bad idea to reset every so often. We use our unit two to three weekends a month all year long so we have used our slides a bunch

Since we are on the topic. Does the one controller handle all three slides?

No......... there is another controller in the same place on the other side that does that side slide. I don't know where the one that controls the bedroom slide is.

No, each slide has it's own controller. The bedroom slide controller is in the front compartment above the hydraulic pump. The other 2 are in the storage compartment just inside each door, mounted on the ceiling, on my 3605 anyway.

Bill concerning the slide controllers...I have had 1 controller not respond to the reset process a couple of times, (bedroom slide) it wouldn't move at all, just dead, I finally unplugged all the wires from that controller let it set for a minute then plugged them back in and it worked fine. Had that happen a couple of times. I don't know if the controller is going bad it hasn't bothered for quite awhile now but I bought a new controller on eBay for a spare. I'm out of warranty.

Good advice. I found my bedroom in the very front storage above my batteries. Having spare controller is a very good idea. So glad the first controller I found and reset was for the living slide. All I know this whole experience has been very educational.

At just under $200 I think I'll hold off on buying a spare.

This is a strange thing. While relocating my main slide controller because access to it was not possible with out removing the basement wall. I found an unused controller in the same location.

They had mounted the controller before installing the wet bay cabinet and was inaccessible because the wet bay was blocked the access.

I manage to get it removed with one of those little right angle screw drivers and a lot of talking to it.

I mounted it next to the recently relocated controller so I guess if have a spare.

I had forgotten all about it until this topic began.

I probably should start a new post about this. But my controller is flashing a code. As I recall the code is a "short".

It only happens when it hold the slide controller button down until the slide is fully out then told it for the recommended few additional seconds. If I put the slide out and release the button the instant the slide stops moving I don't get the code with the flashing light.

I haven't messed with it because the slide is working perfect and....well it's working perfect.
