Ok look over entire heater. Took control board out there was some mung was over a portion of the board that bridged solder lines. Think in the higher humidity of NorCal it created an issues by perhaps shorting between solder lines where the mung. Cleaned circuit board good as well as the fan and everywhere I could get to. It's working great now I go to Cali in a month will see. Might add had a toilet issue awhile back where slide inside the toilet was slow and sometimes allowed water to keep flowing. Bad. Anyway lubricated flush lever and slide inside toilet. Tool a right angle tool and cleaned rubber toilet seal where the plastic travels. I lubricated with oil and the slide now snaps back to close. Again will see

There is a spray can of circuit board coating you can buy. I can get you the name if you want tomorrow. I think I remember it being kind of expensive but at what cost is warmth???
I used it on my boards when I lived on the beach and it kept the green funk away.

The stuff is FINE-L-COAT HT CLX1028C. It's not a cleaner but a conformal coating to be applied to a clean circuit board. It coats the solder points, traces and components.

It's flammable with a flash point of 40F, has a MIL spec and I think I paid 35 bucks with shipping for a 12 oz spray can. I lived on the beach on the Sea of Cortez, a very salty place to be for sensitive electronic circuit boards. Some commercial boards are already sealed from the manufacturer but since I made my own I needed a way to keep the green monster from eating my creations.

Probably can't find it in California because of, you know
