Well after 800 hours of trouble free service I went to exercise my generator last weekend and it sputtered and died. I messed up by starting it with a 1/4 tank of old fuel even though it was Seafoamed.
I filled it up with fresh gas and replaced the fuel filter and the first few starts it sputtered to a stall but after the fresh gas filled the line it's back to purring like a kitten.
When I was at the Cummins dealer to pick up a new fuel filter I checked on the cost of a tune up that included replacing the spark plugs and they quoted me 2 hours @ $130 per. Replacing the plugs is recommended at 450 hours so I guess it's time??!
