It worked well, when it worked. Was kinda useful when passing someone going down the road... sneak a peek at the monitor to ensure I was fully past the slower vehicle before pulling back into the right lane.

Only problem was... the cameras that were used back in 2013 & 14 were crap. I went thru 3 of them under warranty before finally saying "screw it".

Since I already use a Garmin RV GPS, I bought their camera as a replacement (BC-30)... which simply uses the GPS as a monitor. Ditching the factory square-box monitor allowed me to get rid of another box on the dash. Anyway, installed it up on the rear using the same wiring as the factory. That was in 2015, and I've never had another issue with it since.
Thanks, Tom!

I have been wanting to replace my Furrion for many years as I have gone thru the same hassles with bad cameras. I like this BC-30!

which breaker for the pre-wired camera

I know I can start pulling fuses, and see if that turns off the camera, but what the heck, anyone already done it and what was the fuze you pulled? reason - it is always on, so while I am cleaning and reloading, the camera is on. thought it would be good to shut it off, and assume only pulling a breaker would do it.

Coleman 2605RL, 2019. only about 10 to pull, but just not a fan of electrical touching, I will cut the power, pull a breaker, power on, walk out and look to see if light is off.. 9 times.

WyoCoboy,

It works better if you start your own new thread.

The camera could be connected directly to the battery. Hopefully it has a fuse on the main panel or an inline fuse. It may be connected ahead of a factory shutoff switch or not. In custom installations, anything goes. Even factory ready wiring gets modified to suit. It may tap in to another 12 volt circuit like a lighting circuit. However, typically they are powered from the exterior backup or running lights.

It is unlikely to be powered through the 120 volt system. It is more likely to be powered through a 12 volt circuit. Pulling 12 volt fuses is simple and safe even with 12 volt power "on".

Note: Manually tripping 120 volt breakers is also safe. Hot contacts are protected from accidental personal contact.

I wish you good luck and happy trails ahead!
