Does anyone else have the battery operated remote keypad mounted to their door to operate the deadbolt. I have had the dealership replace this thing four times and I get about two - three days use out of it tops before the battery is dead and it dosent work.
???
Are you referring to the keypad on the door that is powered by the house battery? If so we have one and haven't had any issues at all with the functionality. There are 2 compression buttons on the lower door and door frame, hinge side that power the keypad if there is any dirt or foreign stuff causing a poor connection the keypad will not work.
I have the keyless entry system and have no problems with it. The original was faulty however but they replaced it before I took possession of the trailer.

The key will continue to work if the keypad doesn't. It could also be added to an existing door but you would have to wire the door jam with power and install the power compression buttons. I've included the link to the LIP Sheet if anyone needs it
Good infor...but I think I keep the manual lock set as well as the awning. I have enough electronic do dads. Just my luck If I had the electric awning...when I use the TV remote the awning would operate....and if I had a keyless entry system and used it.. it wouldn' turn on the stereo.
mmm..... I wonder if there is an electronic thing that will back up my TT perfectly into a spot.

Ours is a remote keypad for the deadbolt that is battery powered with a large watch type battery. All other functions work. I didnt know there was a hard wired version
