I bought my 3100 in January while out at Quartzsite Az. I knew I'd kick myself if I passed on $899 OTD. Sold my 2400 w Yamaha here at work. Then what do I do put buy a Voltage with a built in 5500 w generator. Can't bring myself to sell the 3100 w Champion quite yet I haven't even used it yet. In the winter I don't need the A/C so may use the 3100 as it's more quit than the 5500 w anyway.
Don't sell it! The Voltage I own has the 5500 Onan in it. I also have a Honda 3000 with remote start. The Honda rides in the bed of the truck and is my generator of choice unless I need to run more than one AC.
With the truck parked 15 feet away I don't know if the Honda is running unless the TV stops working.

In April I bought a 3100 and I couldn't be happier. Runs the AC just fine and is much quieter than anticipated. It starts first or second pull. Only complaint is the small gas tank.
Steve.
I bought the champion 3100 at Costco a few months ago for $800 CAD. We have used it quite a bit this summer and love it. Runs everything I need. A/C, toaster, kettle. Very good generator for the price. We had a champion 2000 watt before and it was great too, just wanted more power. No regrets buying this generator.
Bought the Black Champion 2000 watt for $360.00 can. The parrallel kit was $77.00 us. Both run great together. I can run AC and microwave ...not on Econ mode though. Together they pull 25 amps. I am very happy with the set up. Easy to carry and saved me $.
