Bulbs
JC10 LED is the replacement for the puck light bulbs in the Voltage's right? I used the cool chart that someone posted (I forgot) and it seems that it is correct. Just want to make sure before I drop the bucks.
Thanks,
Rusty

Hi Rusty - did you get the bulbs? How many watts saved going the halogens to the LEDs? Please send the amazon link or something.. I think my lights are my biggest user!

They also come in cool white which i dislike as it makes the interior feel like your in a stadium instead of warm and inviting.

This may be a dumb question but I have to ask.. How do you remove the cover from the puck lights?? I tried twisting them, like unscrewing it but didn't want to apply too much force. I'm also afraid to pry on them for fear of breaking the cover..
Thanks

Yep, they're stubborn... but they do twist off. It's a peg-in-notch thing, and it only needs about 10-degrees of counter-clockwise turn to come loose.

They really don't need to twist to come out, but by hand its the only way to get them off. I had an issue with one of mine while I was doing the PDI and the service tech went and got a "Plastic Putty Knife" and pushed it between the base and the lens and pulled down and it popped right out. I now own a 6 pack of them i purchased from home depot.

On the Rubicon, we have to pry it down......at least that is what I got told by the factory!

If these are the same design as the ones in our Denali, they are indeed a muther to twist off. Ours are all led array, on an aluminum base. Some are switched, some are not. The switched ones have a design flaw,,,, push too hard on the button and the little plunger slips off the internal switch. Then you have to remove the cover to reset things. I found by carefully trimming 1/8 inch off the plunger in the cover, it fixes the problem. Aside from that, they're great lights and we do like them.
