A lot my wife's family grew up on the short tracks and some even raced in it before it became NASCAR. We still have family members running in the Lucas Oil Super Lates and such. NASCAR has gone the way of most other professional sports and I have no sympathy or support for million dollar cry babies.

If it was installed with the bolts as per the directions, it shouldn't be a problem. If it was in true Dutchmen fashion with just screws it won't be up there long with them wings flapping. I would be tempted to remove the wings and see how it effects the reception.

Certainly a candidate for a Jack upgrade.

If you want to see real racing go to a NHRA race. NASCAR's are slow & quite compared to top fuel nito burning dragsters!

I used to bracket race back in the late 70's with some buddies. We had a 41 Willys coupe called the Gray Ghost because it was painted with gray primer. Jr never got around to painting it. It ran an aluminum small block and was wicked quick. One night we blew the engine so we ran the hauler truck in the "run what ya brung" category and came home with $500. Hauler had a dial in of 28.00, everybody red lighted against us. Hauler was a 1972 Chevy 1t with 454 5 speed and 4:56 rear end.

I have been playing with cars, trucks and motorcycles long before I ever had a driver's license. Haven't been to the drags in quite a while, but may need to make a trip one of these days. Hope it costs less than NASCAR to get in. I would also like to make a couple more of the super bike races too.

Bin there, done that. We used to go to the drags every weekend when I was still wet behind the ears. This was back in the days when they top fuelers were running low 200MPH numbers. Saw one of Garlits' last runs in a front engine rail. The Snake and the Mongoose were just getting their grudge on.

But my passion has always been the circle burners. I was introduced to motor racing when my momma was still pushing me around in a stroller. We lived less than a mile from a little old 1/4 mile dirt track and ma would take us kids to the track when the midgets were running. We were never very far from a track, as I got older and could go to the races myself, my parents always knew where to find me on race days.

Saw my first NASCAR race on Wide World of Sports, that was the 1960 Daytona 500 and they were racing REAL stock cars.

I was hooked. Now days it's the old short tracks, history and the moonshine that really interests me, just a trip down memory lane.
