Battery charging question???

So I'm a new owner of a Kodiak 299bhsl, and I am having trouble putting a full charge on my battery. My F150 came without the trailer tow charging relay, and fuse, which I added. Before leaving for my trip this weekend I checked the battery with the multimeter and got a reading of 8.74v after pulling it for 45 mins I got a reading a little less. The camper was plugged into 120v from Friday at 4 to Sunday at 11, and my battery only read 9.54v before leaving. It seems that something is not working with the charging system. Any ideas?

Something is definitely not right.
But with those voltage readings it might be possible the battery was damaged before you set your truck up for charging?

It's difficult to troubleshoot charging issues sometimes if the battery itself no longer responds, or behaves, normally to charging.

A completely charged 12 volt battery should be around 12.70 volts, an completely discharged one is around 11.9 volts. If those readings are correct it's completely dead with no chance of charging.

If you had any light that would turn on in the camper not hooked up to any external power, something is wrong with your tester.

My thoughts exactly. The tester on the inside of the rv was fully charged so...
