Our trailer isn't that big, but between the strong headwinds and the steep mountains, the GMC bogged down often. I also am excited to get hooked up and hit the road this spring!

You will love how it pulls up the grades with no effort and not screaming at high RPM's like the 5.0 does. I had a 14 and went to Utah with a 274BH, up the IKE Gauntlet, across I-70 in Utah. My only advice is keep an eye on the engine and trans temps, that engine will pull like a madman, but the price is hot turbos and transmission.

Now my 14 had 3:15 gearing which more than likely contributed to it, with triple digit temps, and it was the first time towing up those grades. Since then I learned to lock out the upper gears to keep the engine in upper RPM's and keep the transmission locked up. Sadly that truck met it's demise 1/11/17, so I never had a chance to take a long trip in it again, but now have a 2018 3.5 with the 10 speed and my first trip in it last year it pulled effortlessly. Can't wait to get out on the open road again with it and give the IKE another try. This one has Max Tow so it has all the gearing and cooling needed.

Enjoy the new truck, that EB is a Beast!
