How do I.. Mr Moderator

How do I turn off the email notification every time something is posted in the forum>? I must get 10 emails a day from this forum. I looked all over and cannot find where to uncheck "notify me of a new post"

I am not a moderator but when you reply in advanced reply see bottom of page there is a spot to not follow the thread. (Thread description: Notification type)

I only use the quick reply but there should be a place to turn off notifications.

Or... what I think is an easier way, so you don't have to do something with each thread:

Go to your UserCP (tool bar at the top of this webpage, left side)

Click on EDIT OPTIONS...

The scroll down to DEFAULT THREAD SUBSCRIPTION MODE

In the drop down menu, select NO EMAIL NOTIFICATION (or whatever other mode you want)

Scroll to the bottom, and click SAVE CHANGES

Questions:

1) Are you getting email in re new posts on EVERY thread... or only on certain ones?

2) Go back to your EDIT OPTIONS area... and try selecting DO NOT SUBSCRIBE, and see if that works. I don't really like the way this works... but this board automatically subscribes you to any thread you reply to.

3) Also try this: in your User CP area... scroll on down to LIST SUBSCRIPTIONS. If you have any there, unsubscribe. Also empty the subscriptions folder.

Not sure any of these will apply to your situation, but just thinking out loud.

I have deleted all of your subscriptions and changed one option.

"Do not subscribe" was not checked. I checked it.

"Subscribe with no notification" was checked. I unchecked it.

There may be a few notifications in the system, but they should all stop.

I'm here for you...

This is what I have and I do not receive any emails except for moderation purposes or private messages...

User CP
--Edit Options
----Messaging & Notifications
------Default Thread Subscription Mode - No Email Notifications
------Enable Private Messaging - Checked
------Receive Email Notification for New Private Messages - Checked
------Enable Profile Commenting - Checked

Other than the above everything else is unchecked.

Dave.
