Winterizing

This will be our first year winterizing our 2001 Dutchman camper trailer. Does anyone know how to drain the hot/cold water drains?
All there is are 2 hoses coming out of the bottom of the camper but no on off switch, there os something under one of the kitchen booths but we’re not sure if it’s an on off switch.

Winterize

The 2 hoses out the bottom are the low water points in your system....must be drained. Careful not to lose the gaskets that are usually in the caps. Hot water heater has a drain near the bottom of it also. Mine is attached to the anode rod, then flip the pressure relief switch to help it drain. Then you put in the pink RV anti-freeze until it comes out all the faucets, but mine has a hot water heater bypass switch so none gets in there. Every RV is different but living where you do, it must be winterized. You also drain the fresh water out.

It is expensive and time consuming if your winterization fails. Pumps and valves burst. Some pipes and fitting crack and leak causing water damage. You may want to get an RV dealer to winterize it.
