Winter storage on grass/soil - levellers up or down?

Hey folks, I will be storing my trailer on my property this winter, the ground is fairly solid but could get soft in the spring after the melt. I've been wondering whether or not to extend my stabilizers or leave them up.

My thoughts are that the stabilizers will help to keep it upright during big storms in the winter, but my fear is that one side could sink during the spring thaw and bend or break the stabilizers. Is there any guidance on which way is best? Thanks.

Get some 2'x2' chunks of plywood to put under the stabilizers, then put them down but not super tight and you should be good to go.

What kind of snow load can you expect? I seem to recall that has caused some problems in the past for someone.

That sounds like sound advice to me, thanks. As for snow load, I don't know, as much as you can imagine lol.

Starting next month, there will probably be 2 feet of snow sitting on the trailer constantly until March or April. That's just the way it is around here, try and make sure everything is sealed well I guess.

I'm not too worried about the snow load, but I am a bit worried about the load on the stabilizers.

We get 3" and it shuts things down, 6" is a blizzard and double our annual average snow fall!

I do know that snow piling up around vents, the A/C and such can cause problems. Any way to cover the top? Or keep it cleaned off? From what I gather freeze/thaw is the issue. I have seen schedule 80 steel pipe split due to frozen water.
