When I RV - it works for me!

On my trips this year, and especially the current long one, I am finding out what things really work for me. In this thread, I’d like to share free or inexpensive things that we discovered work well and why - and invite everyone to do the same. Conversely, but without being too negative, what have you found doesn’t work or was not worth it?

Please try to include A PICTURE, cost, where you got it and why it works for you!

I’ll start...this is a free item I got at Costco-a Bulleit Bourbon box. It is perfect for holding my X-chocks, tools, and miscellaneous items like the kids helmets.

Helps with the summer heat

We didn’t know how much we needed these until we experienced the unrelenting East coast summer heat. They worked well in California to keep the heat out while traveling or when away from the campground during the heat of the day, but often removed with the windows open at camp and at night when things cool down.

On our trip, we discovered they are great with the AC running, great for blocking the morning sun and great to keep prying eyes away when “Walmarting”

We got a huge roll of this and Velcro at HD for less than $50 and still have half of it left.

The way a store my hitch. Used the bracket to mount a rack or so on the 4 inch square rear bumper. Used two by fours as a spacer as the tongue in not 4 inches square. Also use the same lock pin. Also lay the bars across the trailer in front of the batteries and lock the chains together. Out of the way and secure.

Mats

These black mats were $2.50 at HD. One at the bottom of the stairs and one in the doorway, and no problem with dirt and sand.
