Question Water Drain Location(s)

Hi. I own a 2017 Dutchmen Coleman 192RD. I am in the process of winterizing it. In draining the water lines, I spotted a valved line hanging down below the bottom-side near the back end of the RV and I have drained it. However, I cannot locate the hot and cold drain lines. Please let me know where these line are or if there are any to even be found. Thanks. John.

I don't have that model. Most of the time the drains are under the hot water tank or the water tank itself.

Mine are just under the water fill ports. the drain towards the back on the right side is the fresh water drain. Make sure you drain the hot water heater and bypass it.

I called Dutchmen customer service and the guy said there was only the one drain pipe behind the axle on what would be the driver's side. That is the one I opened up and drained. However, he did not seem the surest to me. So, I am asking anyone who would own my model of the Dutchmen.

There should be a drain for the hot water and one for the cold. the fresh tank (on mine) is behind the front axle.

does your trailer have the insulation on the bottom? These two valves should be directly under where you fill.

I think you may need to settle for the air method of blowing the lines out if you can't find the system drains.

stupid manual doesn't say much.

We usually leave the camper in BOONE at Grandfather. the next time we go there will be late December. I looked for antifreeze when I was up there in August... LOL,... Walmart was out and he looked at me sort of funny when I asked him where they kept the stuff.

heaven forbid that they guy covered up the drains when they put the bottom on. You may want to use air to blow out the lines, antifreeze the drains then look for leaks after the thaw!

The drain valve you found is probably for the fresh water tank and I would guess that tank and fill port are located at the back of the trailer. As far as the hot and cold water line drains, visualize where the sinks, shower and hot water heater are located in the trailer and look under the trailer in those areas. concentrate along frame and sides of trailer. On my 2014 Dutchmen, I don't know how many times and how much time I spent looking for the drains. They were just two stubs with threaded caps barely sticking out from the under the belly wrap. They were under the bath area between the main frame and the side of trailer.
Good Luck

Spent the first 27 years of my life there

My low point drains are on the outside of the frame behind the rear tires, took me forever to find them. I can literally stick my hand just under the lower metal trim and grab them.
